What is a vertical farm?
A vertical farm is essentially a greenhouse reimagined from scratch. Instead of cultivating crops across large areas in a single layer on the ground, we grow them in multiple layers stacked on top of each other - inside a controlled environment. We manage light, water, nutrients, and climate to ensure plants receive exactly what they need, independently of weather, wind, and seasons.

Robots collect and deliver
At CleverGrown, this means we've merged the best of traditional horticulture with cutting-edge technology. Our farm is housed in a former warehouse where the steel racks are now aglow with lights, packed with herbs and water, replacing pallets. Robots manage the movement of plants, while sensors provide us vital insights on their condition throughout every stage, from sprouting to harvest.
Why is it Clever?
For us, this means more stable herbs, high and consistent quality, and production that can be planned down to the last detail. For our customers, it means herbs that last longer, taste as agreed, and come from a local farm that can be explained and vouched for.
For the planet, the smart farm means less waste of resources. We use significantly less water than traditional agriculture, we can grow more in less space, we eliminate the need for pesticides in cultivation, and we replace air imports and long transports with local production in a repurposed high-rise facility. This is how we understand the future of farming: smarter for us, smarter for our customers - and smarter for the planet.
